People were very very friendly. I found out most Japan stays rarely have 3 legs outlet. My universal convertor for 3 legs wasn't working properly. So, I borrowed their in-house universal convertor for my laptop. However, I couldn't find one outside the stores. So, I asked if I could purchase from them. They said no because it's for guests like me, which I totally understood. Later one, the lady served our group knocked my room and gave me hers. So, sweet and nice. They cared individual guests with hearts. The meals were nice and tasty. Some beef slices for shabu shabu were like size of my face. lol. Foods were great. They have 4 public hot springs to try. We all stayed in 3 different rooms with private hot springs. However, ours had some ants which I was scared to use. My friends' were ok with no ant at all. Luckily, they are 4 public ones that closed by our rooms too. Very refreshing with the outside ones with benches and looking up to the sky. The property is very close to Lake Kinrin 金鱗湖, all shops and restaurants, Snoopy and Floral villages. One point, we had little hard time looking for the property because of the Kenji characters. It said "寛ぎの宿なな川" in booking.com, but it has "田乃倉" in the front door. The other name actually shown in the back door and parking lot areas. We booked a room for 3 people. The room has two floors. Surprisingly large and comfy. Overall, I would recommend staying here again if visit again.

To the wonderful team at Kutsurogi-no-Yado Nanakawa Yufuin, We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the unforgettable experience we had during our stay that included a dreamy private Onsen. We especially would like to thank Chie, our incredible host. Chie-san went above and beyond to make our time with you truly special. With endless patience, grace, and warmth, she guided us through the traditional Japanese experience, ensuring we felt comfortable, welcome, and fully immersed in the culture. Despite the language barrier, she patiently used Google Translate to help us have deep and meaningful conversations, never once losing patience or kindness. Thanks to her thoughtful explanations, we could truly appreciate every detail of the experience. She also helped us embrace the traditional Japanese cuisine, even when it was unfamiliar to our Western tastes, by offering gentle guidance and flexibility, allowing us to enjoy the meals fully and respectfully. Chie-san’s hospitality, care, and dedication touched us deeply, and made our stay at Nanakawa Yufuin unforgettable. We are sincerely grateful and will warmly recommend your wonderful, peaceful, and beautifully maintained ryokan to anyone visiting Japan. With deep appreciation, Michelle and Ami Teyer Tel Aviv, Israel

Located within a 3min walk of Lake Kinrin and 5-10min walk of Yufuin Floral Village, Kutsurogi no Yado Nanakawa was part of a wider complex of other ryokan, so we actually dined at its sister facility. You had access to 4 public onsen facilities as part of the wider complex along with two private onsen in your room, which was a highlight - we were grateful to have an indoor bathroom and shower facility to prepare, and an outdoor onsen to soak. It was a quiet and peaceful complex, beautifully designed with traditional Japanese styling, and we did not feel disturbed by other guests. This was a massive room with tatami, huge ceilings and upstairs western bedroom, easily could accommodate a whole family or large group if needed. Thoughtful amenities including skincare and lotion were provided, along with two types of haori for walking around in cooler weather. The kaiseki dinner featured high quality seasonal ingredients and beef shabu shabu as a main, and a breakfast that featured western salads as well as Japanese dishes. Parking was provided by the ryokan, which is great because it's located in the center of a lot of tourist activity.

We booked the family room with 2 bed rooms and private baths (indoor and outdoor) for 2 nights. Room was spacious and nice. We enjoyed the private baths. Breakfast and dinners for both days were sumptuous and delicious. Our host, Takeuchi san was extremely friendly and considerate. She remembered our preferences and tried her best to provide us with advice despite the language barrier (by using the translation apps). We really enjoyed her service. Location of the Ryokan was very good. It was located beside Lake Kirin and we were able to enjoy quiet walks around the lake every morning before all the tour buses arrived. Within walking distance to the floral village too. Although it was quite a distance from Yufuin station, pick-up service was provided and we just needed to call the Ryokan using public phone at the Station.

Shoon

The staff who came out to meet us and carried our luggage as soon as we parked in the parking lot, and those who helped with our luggage when we left and saw us off until we left the parking lot, were all very kind. The room was spotless and nice. The private open-air bath attached to my room provided a fantastic solo hot spring experience, and the quality of the spring water was so good that it made my skin silky smooth. Excellent dinner and breakfast
